All buildings are built starting from the base. A good
foundation results in a good building; this goes the same for people. To build
up a good foundation, kids go to pre-school, elementary school, middle school,
and finally high school. The next level is college and that’s where a person
really starts his or her life. Colleges help students find out who they are and
what they want to be. It helps students to start the rest of their life. The
college that I want to go to is Carnegie Mellon in Silicon Valley. This
university specializes in computers, which is why I’ve had my eyes on it for a
while now.
As a child, I grew up with my god-family as my parents did
not have the time and energy to take care of me. Therefore, I grew up with my
god-brother. He grew up with a generation that was fascinated by computers as
it was new at the time. Every day after school, he would come home to practice
typing and coding. Almost 10 years later, what he did for pure interest turned
into his career. However, what he got out of Davis was only a bachelor’s
degree. My god-brother later went to Carnegie Mellon to achieve his masters
degree. During this time, i was constantly asked by my family and peers where i wanted to go for college. I could never answer them, however, which resulted in them next asking me what I wanted to do. I thought about it and I decided that the world of computers is truly fascinating, and will be the future of the world. It's amazing how, "<h> Hello World! </h>" can show a large heading reading, "Hello World!". I figured out what I wanted to learn, next was figuring out where to learn it. Searching online, I saw that Carnegie Mellon was the number one computer university. From then on, it's become a goal of mine to go to Carnegie Mellon.
